On behalf of Glasgow City Council, charity Glasgow Life delivers culture and sport programmes, experiences, and events to make a positive impact on individuals, their communities, and the city.
Our work is designed to enhance mental, physical and economic wellbeing in Glasgow, and aims to promote inclusion, happiness and health. It spans arts, music, festivals, sports, libraries, and learning and development, and ranges from local, small-scale activities to major events which present Glasgow on an international stage.
The venues we manage range from key cultural attractions – including The Burrell Collection, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, and Gallery of Modern Art – to world-class sports facilities such as the Emirates Arena and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, and Tollcross International Swimming Centre.
The extensive indoor and outdoor leisure facilities we operate throughout Glasgow are underpinned by a sports and physical activity development team dedicated to promoting sport from grassroots to professional levels and ensuring sport is integral to life in Glasgow.
